■南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤム・カンチプラムスタイル継承者代表的な出演公演はプリントアウト用PDFファイルを参照ください。 ■1969年神奈川県横浜市出身インド舞踊研究所ナーティヤ・マンジャリ・ジャパンＮＭＪ代表兼所長インドおしゃれ倶楽部主宰横浜ムンバイ友好委員会理事明治大学経営学部経営学科卒業明治大学在学中の演劇活動をしている1992年より、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムを習得 1995年、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムの本場、南インドのチェンナイに渡り、インド舞踊家ウドゥピー・ラクシュミナラヤン氏に弟子入り。以来、毎年渡印を重ね、インドと日本で数多くの公演を行い、チェンナイの有名なダンスフェスティバルにおいてソロリサイタルを行っている実力派。「はじける踊りをするダンサー」として定評がある。 1998年、インド舞踊事務所DeviDeviを設立、2000年に、インド舞踊研究所ナーティヤ・マンジャリ・ジャパンNMJと改名し、日本とインドでの公演、イベントの企画制作を行う団体の代表兼所長となる。 1998年、最初のソロ公演を東京にて行う。 1999年、インドでのデヴュー。ナーティヤ・マンジャリのグループ公演に参加する。南インドのチェンナイにて。 2000年、最初のインドソロ公演「アランゲトラム・Ｇｕｒｕ　Ｐｏｏｊａ」を、南インドのチェンナイで行い、免許皆伝。師匠から「マユーリ」と命名。 2001年、インド舞踊教室ナーティヤ・マンジャリ・ジャパンを創設 2005年、日本舞踊とのコラボレーション公演を東京と南インドのチェンナイで行い、他文化とのコラボレーションにも積極的で、自ら創作、演出、振付、出演をこなす。 2006年、ダンサーとしての実力が評価され、チェンナイの文化団体パドマ・サランガパ二・カルチャーアカデミーから「パドマ・バラティ・アワード」を受賞 2007年の日印交流年では、南インド古典舞踊・音楽と日本のおはやし・書道のコラボレーションを表現し、インド祭事業の一つとして文化庁から助成を受け、インドから師匠と楽団を招へいし、生演奏による日本公演を横浜と東京にて開催。また、交流年の締めくくりとして、外務省の助成事業の一つとして渡印し、北インドのベナレスと南インドのチェンナイにおいて、インド公演を行い、感謝状が贈られた。 2008年、ナーティヤ・マンジャリ・ジャパン専用稽古場を神奈川県横浜市中区に開設毎年の渡印生活を活かし、インドの「おしゃれ」が生活の一部にあるなんて魅力的だと思いませんか？というコンセプトで、「インドおしゃれ倶楽部」を立ち上げ、メンバー限定イベントの企画、商品販売をしている。近年、東インド出身の詩人タゴールが創ったタゴール・ソングに、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムの動作で、振付を行ったり、北インドの聖人ミーラ・バイが創ったミーラ・バジャンを踊ったりと、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムを通して、インド各地のセミクラシカル曲も表現し、新たな世界を披露している。　また、横浜ムンバイ友好委員会の理事として姉妹都市間の文化交流の架け橋となっている。 2013年、ナーティヤ・マンジャリ・ジャパン専用稽古場＆事務所を広島県尾道市に移転し教室開講、また、横浜事務所を横浜市南区に移転。神奈川県横浜市に加え、広島県尾道市にもバラタナティヤムの魅力を伝えるため活動を始める。 2014年4月、広島市内に広島教室を開講。8月、横浜市中区に横浜教室の専用稽古場を移転する。 2016年、カンボジアのシェムリアップでも公演 2016年8月、専用稽古場を東京都世田谷区に新設。

明治大学経営学部経営学科卒業

明治大学在学中の演劇活動をしている1992年より、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムを習得

1995年、南インド古典舞踊バラタナティヤムの本場、南インドのチェンナイに渡り、インド舞踊家ウドゥピー・ラクシュミナラヤン氏に弟子入り。以来、毎年渡印を重ね、インドと日本で数多くの公演を行い、チェンナイの有名なダンスフェスティバルにおいてソロリサイタルを行っている実力派。「はじける踊りをするダンサー」として定評がある。

2014年4月、広島市内に広島教室を開講。8月、横浜市中区に横浜教室の専用稽古場を移転する。

EMI MAYURI
Ms. EMI MAYURI is an South Indian classical dance Bharatha Natyam dancer & dance director from Japan. When she was acting the drama performance on the stage, she started to learn Bharatha Natyam in Japan in 1992 and was currently actively performing. Since 1995 she became a disciple of Guru Sri Udupi Laxminarayan at Chennai in India, from that year she visit to India every year, then now she is performing at many places in India, Japan and Cambodia. She has inherited “Kanchipuram Style”. In 1999 she joined to perform on the stage by Guru’s school students as her first India performance at Chennai. In 1998 she established "Natya Manjari Japan" as the branch of Natya Manjari established from her Guru at Chennai, and now is promoting and teaching Bharatha Natyam, Indian folk dance and Yoga at Tokyo, Yokohama, and Hiroshima in Japan. In 2000 performed solo recital “Guru Pooja” as first solo India performance at Chennai. From the later, every year, is performing in many dance festivals by many Sabha(Cultural theater group) and Hindu temples in India. Main places are in Tamilnadu(Chennai, Coimbatore), Kerala(Kochi, Wayanad), Karnataka(Bangalore), Delhi, Uttar Pradesh(Varanasi, Sarnath), Haryana(Gurgaon), Rajasthan(Alwar), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli(Silvassa). She is also creating many dance dramas and collaboration stages like the collaboration performance of Japanese classical dance and Bharatha Natyam. Then the new wind was created in the world of the Asian classical dance in India and Japan. The ability as her dancer be evaluated, she got "Padma Bharathi Award" at Chennai in 2006. She invited her Guru & orchestras from India, and with her students group "NMJ" held the fusion dance performance of South Indian Classical music & dance and Japanese culture "Navagraha & Japanese Gods" in Japan in 2007. In 2016 she and her friend’s Carnatic vocalists, Smt. Girija Subramanian and Smt. Saradha Rajan did Japan tour recitals “The world of Indian Classic and Folk” at many places in Japan. She is a dancer having lot of talent who handles stage direction, choreography, music production, the clothes production, make-up etc. And she also is introducing another Indian cultures like the dressing of Saree who learned through visiting to India since 1995, and she is acting as a director of Yokohama Mumbai Friendship Committee.
